How does it taste?
Answer: I haven't tasted it myself but my plants seem to really like it. -

How do you clean this stuff on a regular basis?
Answer: Tube vacuum should work fine. I’d imagine whom ever wrote that hadn’t rinsed it very well and kicked up a ton of sediment. -

Will my plants live with only this substrate?
Answer: I have only this substrate in my 29 gallon and it is sufficient to grow plants. I recommend periodically supplementing with Flourish in order to maximize plant growth. -

The description for this item reads 7k / 15.4 lbs but the item pictured reads half that 3.5k / 7.7 lbs; which is correct for the item?
Answer: The container I received had 15.4 lbs., someone made an error. -

Would this work well with Shrimps, cherry barbs, Guppies and Snails?
Answer: Certainly! All of those stock options actually to better with live plants than without. -

What color is the gravel?
Answer: Fluorite Dark reminds me of a Hershey chocolate bar. It is not dark like Black Fluorite. -

Is the bag supposed to come have filled?
Answer: It's sold by weight so, no. -

Is this safe for snails?
Answer: Yes, it is safe for snails. -

What is the grain size?
Answer: It is mostly 3-4 mm. If you have ever bought the regular Flourite, which is described as brown, but would be better called reddish brown, has a larger particle size of mostly 4-5mm.
