This veneer is of good quality and easy to work with. However, it is thin and can be difficult to cut. The surface is smooth and replicates the look of the specific wood type it is meant to mimic. It is important to have a clean and smooth surface before applying the veneer, and to line it up perfectly as it won't come up again once pressed down. The grain runs with the 8 foot direction. A roller should be used to press the adhesive onto the substrate, and an unfinished wood surface would be best for a more permanent bond. It can be used in RVs for replacements and repair or refacing. The reception of the product is varied. Some users found it difficult to match with their existing wood while others found it to be a great deal. The color and shade of the veneer received was different for some users. The adhesion was better than expected for some, but others had issues with bubbles forming when a clear coat was applied. The thickness is ideal for mounting, but it is not forgiving to surfaces with small gouges or damage. Inspection of the product upon arrival is recommended as some users reported defects or adhesive issues. Overall, the 3m adhesive stuck well and it is a good product for repair or reface, but accuracy and preparation are important for successful application.
