The Fractal Design Node 804 is a cube case that boasts a lot of space for hardware and storage drives. It comes with eight 3.5" HDD bays that hang from the top of the case, up to four 2.5" drives in the internal bay, and an additional two mounts for 2.5" drives hidden on the front bezel. There is also a mount for a slim-line slot loading optical drive in the front. The case provides many options for mounting fans and radiators, and there is plenty of space to work inside. The HDDs have rubber gaskets to reduce vibration and unwanted noise. The case, however, is not without flaws. It does not include PWM fans, and they are connected to a fan controller with a physical switch for high/medium/low speed settings. The USB-A 3.0 ports may be outdated for some people, and there could have been more open ventilation on the front bezel near the top. However, the case's price point is reasonable, and it offers excellent value for those who need a cube case for building their own NAS or media server.
