The Valeton Rushead Max is an affordable effects pedal that offers distortion, reverb tones, delay, chorus, and phaser. It is perfect for people who are looking for that crunchy, grungy effect on their sound while enjoying some art play with it. It is also ideal for home guitarists who are looking for the sounds they would like on their pedalboard. The unit has a solid steel construction and quick and easy instructions for easy access, and it is pretty versatile as it works surprisingly well with bass guitar. It's easy to click on and click off different effects, and modifying them is quite simple, too. All effects are great and usable, and customizable, making it a workhorse for adding to your sound tool box. However, it’s not some high-end effects pedal and is more of a workhorse to add to your sound tool box. It has its weaknesses, like the poor quality of the foot switch for the Indie Drive effect, resulting in the loss of faith in the rest of the effects pedals. It is also challenging to use the overdrive with distortion as the fuzz works ok, but the user may have to back off on the amp gain, which is indeed a powerful fuzz effect. There may be some intermittent power loss to the unit, depending on the power source.
