SEIKO Essentials is a quartz watch that uses a regular watch battery (battery included) and is not self-winding or solar-powered. It has a water resistance level suitable for a dress watch but not recommended for swimming. The stainless steel band is not expandable and may need a professional jeweler to adjust. Customer experience and reception: - The watch has a tasteful and beautiful design suitable for everyday wear and as a dress watch for occasions. - SEIKO quartz watches are reliable and accurate, second only to atomic time-linked watches. - The watch face is large and easy to read, and the time and date are already set. - The watch is waterproof and can withstand up to 8 feet of swimming. - Some customers had difficulty adjusting the strap and needed to go to a professional jeweler. - A few customers had issues with the band's fit and had to change it. - One customer received a watch that stopped working after two months of use.
