Filemaker Pro 12 [Old Version]

FileMaker Pro 12 has received mixed feedback from users, reflecting both its strengths and weaknesses. Many users appreciate its intuitive interface, which allows even those without extensive programming knowledge to create and manage databases effectively. The ease of importing data from other formats, such as tab-delimited files, has been highlighted positively by users who felt that the transition from other database systems to FileMaker Pro was straightforward. Furthermore, the availability of ample online resources, tutorials, and documentation has aided users in navigating the software, particularly when they encounter more complex tasks. On the flip side, FileMaker Pro 12 comes with its own set of challenges. Users have expressed frustrations regarding the automatic save feature, which can be problematic when a user makes an unintended change and wishes to revert. Additionally, there is criticism concerning the lack of clarity in some settings and options, which can make the software feel less user-friendly, especially for those who lack programming experience. The learning curve can be steep, as many users indicated that while getting started is easy, mastering the advanced functions requires significant time and effort. One of the prominent drawbacks is the inability to open databases created in older versions of FileMaker without conversion, which can complicate collaboration amongst users who have not upgraded. Legacy support issues have frustrated long-term users who have invested in earlier versions of the software. Overall, while FileMaker Pro 12 seems to empower users to create effective databases with a relatively easy learning curve, those without a background in programming or database management may find certain aspects cumbersome and unintuitive. **
