The Enormous Crocodile is a short but catchy and interesting story by Roald Dahl. The eponymous crocodile is determined to snack on a child and will stop at nothing, devising disguises, secret plans, and tricks to catch his prey. However, the animals of the jungle are able to stop him from his evilness, and he gets what he deserves in the end. Stephen Fry's reading is superb, with Quentin Blake's illustrations nicely ethnically diverse. The book's only flaw is that all the main active characters are gendered male, except for one ambiguously gendered bird.
