The All-Clad Electrics Stainless Steel Immersion Blender is a 600 Watt detachable hand blender with variable speed control and a turbo function. There is a black plastic sealing ring around the hole that the shaft goes through, which stops liquid from going up the tube and being difficult to clean out. The hood at the bottom is glued in with a clear to whitish ring of what probably is silicone. One major flaw some customers have noticed is that soup can sometimes get sucked up into the shaft. At this time there is only the blending stalk - no whisk or other attachments available. The dark ring is hard plastic where the wand connects to the motor/handle, whereas the shiny part in between is steel and contains all the innards. The All-Clad KZ750D Stainless Steel Immersion Blender is made in China. Despite some durability issues, it is a powerful blender that is easy to use and has ergonomic design. However, the vortex could be better and the blender head is too large to fit into a wide-mouth mason jar or coffee mug.
