The pot is heavy, weighing 13 pounds even before any food is added, but this weight helps distribute heat evenly throughout cooking. The lid is designed to allow steam to escape, which is important for pressure regulation. The pot is easy to clean, though hand-washing is recommended. The sand color of the pot may stain, but with proper cleaning techniques, it can be kept stain-free. The extra label on the white pot is removable. This pot is manufactured in France.
