Answer: They will not. Having hiked on dunes at least 15 times, I can tell you nothing short of rubber waders will keep the sand out of your shoes. Plan on taking your shoes and socks off after the hike and shaking all the sand out. -

Answer: I wondered the same thing when I bought mine! I am a slender six foot and I bought large and that worked for me. -

Which gaiters are for large calves?
Answer: I got a size small. My calves are small. They fit fairly snug. I don’t recommend this size for large calves. I’m 5’2, and 125lbs.
