The Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack is a heavy duty, well-built and sturdy rack for transporting bikes. It comes with built-in locks that are convenient, though they could be stronger. The assembly is easy if the directions are followed properly. The rack is quite expensive, but ensures the safety of your bike. Customers have reported that it is possible to lower and raise the Kuat rack by one person, but it should be done with caution as the bikes might fall off. The customer service provided by the manufacturer is good and they're knowledgeable enough to answer any questions about the product. The rack tilts down easily to allow access to the trunk, and tilts up (without bikes) to get out of the way. The bikes are securely anchored and safe for carbon frames. However, some customers have complained about the difficulty in raising and lowering the rack pivot with bikes installed, and some have even reported that the maintenance station cracked and broke while lowering the rack. The Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack is compatible with the wheel adapter for smaller wheels, but it is not compatible with the Kuat 1.0 base rack. In addition, the Kuat NV base add-on is available to match the matte black finish. The Kuat rack is heavy to move around, but it will be the last rack you need to buy.
