This Piccolo is a great choice for high school students or marching band. It is made of plastic, which is good but not as good as space age or wood, and though it plays well enough it is a student level piccolo at a student level price. The pads seal well and all the notes come out okay. It has some issues, such as the cleaning cloth. The case looks good from the outside, but it does have some obvious design issues such as the A flat key ends up touching the head joint. It is better for marching band rather than a concert. The piccolo is not recommended for most, but for those who are college students, it is a nice flute. It is difficult to get a good sound. The piccolo is not for most, but it is acceptable. Overall, it is a great Piccolo for the money, providing nice tones. It's still a student level piccolo at a student-level price so to utilise this piccolo for recreational playing, casual practicing, music bands, or as a backup instrument would be wise.
