The DIN 5 Pin to RCA Cable by Qaoquda is an audio adapter cable that allows the user to hook up their Bang & Olufsen, Naim, or Quad Stereo equipment to a standard RCA input. The cable works well as long as the user knows what to do. If the user's B&O device has seven pins, two of the removable pins from the male B&O plug must be taken out. To remove the hum/buzz, the user must connect the metal part of the male B&O connector to ground on their preamp or amp. The cable sounds quite good when rigged up correctly. The product is affordable but received mixed reviews from customers. One reviewer stated that the cable worsened the audio quality of their turntable, making records almost unlistenable. However, another reviewer found that the cable worked perfectly for their intended use, connecting a Bluetooth amplifier to a Quad 34 oversimplified with Din connectors. Another reviewer warned that the cable would not work as an audio/video cable for a Commodore 64 or Vic-20 computer. The product received three stars from one customer who felt that the product technically worked, but they found it unsuitable for their turntable. The cable works well with vintage Bang & Olufsen components like the original BeoSound1 FM CD player.
