The Forney 52722 Battery Charger Clamps are built for heavy-duty use and have a maximum opening distance of 1-1/2". They accept #2 cable and are a good replacement for cheap plastic clamp handles that tend to snap in cold weather. These clamps are very strong and will not twist or distort in the hinge portion, making them a reliable product. Installing the clamps is relatively easy, as there is a bracket that holds the wire down and makes the electrical connection. Overall, these clamps are a good value as they are heavy-duty, long-lasting, and can be used for making jumper cables or a jump box. However, they may not be suitable for real heavy amp applications. The only issue with the product is that the rubber on the handles is useless and falls off after the first use.
