The AUTOOL HTS558 Automotive Engine Intake Pipe Valve Clean Machine is a highly efficient and easy to use carbon deposit cleaning device. The package comes with everything needed for the first job, and it delivers fast shipping. However, the instructions are a bit sparse and may require a bit of intuition. The inclusion of two bags of media in the package is a nice surprise, and the hopper tank is below a sieve in the recovery tank, which makes for a more continuous operation without having to stop to reload. The "filter" that comes with the package is above the return and is basically just an air filter for the motor, and does nothing to separate the carbon. The product works effectively for cleaning, and it delivers results that are over 90% effective. However, during use, it relies on Venturi suction from the nozzle to suck it out of the hopper, and the port in the hopper could become uncovered at times, making it difficult to reach the valves.
