Depending on the child's ability, it has the option to be used with or without pedals. However, the pedals seem to have an issue, one of them falls off immediately and doesn't stay clicked on, making the bike basically useless. The bike's pedals are attached to the front wheel and this makes it hard for kids to pedal, they need to press down straight, from the knee. In that sense, it might not be suitable for younger children or new walkers. A couple of customers reported stability issues with the bike, mentioning that their babies felt sideways a couple of times. Overall, the LOL-FUN Toddler Balance Bike is an adorable gift for toddlers with its multi-functionality and easy assembly. However, the pedal's design issue and the stability problem could be drawbacks for some parents.
