Answer: It will only take DDR4. -

Does this board use regular sata ports instead of M.2?
Answer: The board has one M.2 socket and 8 SATA 6GB/s ports. If the M.2 socket is in use, SATA 1 is unusable but the other 7 still work fine. -

Does the corsair h100 water cooler fit on this motherboard?

Will this motherboard work with the Intel Core i5-4690K processor?
Answer: No, it won't. The Maximus viii has a different socket type. You may need to look for an earlier generation product. -

Answer: Depending on how you orient the water block, you should be able to fit the corsair link cable. However, it is recommended to connect the pump connector to the W_PUMP connector on the motherboard and the fan connector to the CPU_FAN connector for better control over fan speed. -
