Rubbermaid Classic 13 Gallon Premium Step-On Trash Can is intended to be used only for indoor purposes. It has a stainless-steel pedal and a black finish. It's supposed to come with an attached lid, but some customers faced problems like the lid came inside the can or was broken. It is 24.82" in height when the lid is on and 37" high when fully opened. The new 2019 version step-on of the same brand has dimensions of 14.6" x 17.6" x 24.8". Customers have complained about the size of the bag opening, which was too small or too big. The locking mechanism for the lid has been a fail point, and it did not work entirely as expected. Some customers have also faced issues with the detachable pieces within the mouth of the trash can used to hold the trash bags, making it difficult to put them in place. Other issues customers faced were the lid not staying firmly closed after the trash bag was fitted, making it secure unsafe. The locking arms that were added to provide a more secure fit were also reported to break easily. The product's plastic material is very weak, and by design, it cannot tolerate any substantial loads, leading to breakages within a few weeks or months of use.
