The second coat should be a mixture of 3 parts water and 1 part sealer, and after it dries completely, the third coat of a mixture of 2 parts water and 1 part sealer can be applied. The sealer is capable of handling up to 350 degrees F, making it suitable for use on a concrete hearth under a wood-burning stove. It can also be used over an existing water-based sealer on concrete, but it is recommended to sand down the surface and ensure all dust is removed before applying a fresh coat of the XS-327 sealer.
