The guitar goes out of tune fairly easily, but this is related to the guitar "warming" as it is being played. Plugged in, the sound is controlled by whatever amp/PA system is used. The pickup controls on the guitar are basic, but work well. The guitar comes with a nice gig bag and is perfect for those on a budget or with small hands. However, do not expect the sound quality to equal the ad copy and some reviewers did receive damaged or defective guitars.
