Answer: I use it indoors and there is no sign of rust. -

Can you just screw directly into wall with no worries?
Answer: Drywall will not support the hook. It must be screwed into a stud. We used them on sturdy wood frame. -

Are the hooks big enough to hold a wine bottle?
Answer: Yes, If the wine bottle had rope tied to it they could support that weight.
