  • Question: What types of welding can I do with Röhr welders?

    Answer: Röhr welders are suitable for TIG and ARC welding, catering to different materials like aluminum and steel.
  • Question: Are Röhr welders user-friendly for beginners?

    Answer: Yes, Röhr welders are designed to be easy to use for both novice and experienced welders.
  • Question: What accessories come with Röhr welders?

    Answer: Each Röhr welder includes several accessories such as an earth clamp, clipping hammer, wire brush, and a mask.
  • Question: If I bought this and some aluminium rods, what else do I need to weld the aluminium panels on my Land Rover? Do I need gas?

    Answer: Sorry, but if you need to ask this, do not even consider trying to TIG weld your panels. TIG welding aluminium is much harder than MIG welding, and you will end up going backwards and very frustrated. If you are still determined to go ahead, then ensure you have a foot pedal, frequency adjustment up to 140 Hz, AC current up to 200 Amp, a good 16 Amp plus power supply, AC balance adjustment up to +50%, some aluminium MIG wire that you can stiffen into rods, and a large bottle of malt whisky.
  • Question: In the description, it notes that this welder has high-frequency start, but my welder doesn’t seem to arc up unless I scratch the material. Please help?

    Answer: The high-frequency start will only work if the material is clean with no oil coating. If using aluminium, try setting the machine to flat, no pulse. It will also only high-frequency start on TIG setting, not MMA setting.
  • Question: Where are these made? China, Spain, Germany?

    Answer: I believe they are made in China. Not had any issues with mine though.
  • Question: How must a foot pedal be wired to work?

    Answer: You need a 3-pin female plug and a 10k potentiometer. The 10k pot has 3 connections. Just test which goes to which on the plug and turn the 10k pot until full range is achieved (0 amps to 250 amps). Then weld a pedal with a spring. Takes a bit of time and messing, but it works.
  • Question: Foot pedal?

    Answer: Doesn't come with one, but has got a socket for one.
  • Question: Has anyone experienced the machine making a buzzing noise for a second when you switch it from MMA to TIG?

    Answer: High frequency comes on. Sometimes I have to press the TIG torch button to reset. Doesn't affect anything. Great bit of kit for the money.
  • Question: Can anyone recommend a hose and regulator that'll fit this, including any necessary adapters?

    Answer: 1/4 inch to 3/8 hose will fit this plant.
